Wing covering completed

Both wings are now finished with the covering process and had their tapes applied. The tapes were doped on with nitrate and serve to strengthen the fabric where it touches a surface.

Next comes spraying coats onto the fabric. The elevator, stabiliser, rudders and both wings each need 2 spray coats of nitrate and 3 spray coats of butyrate. These coats will give the fabric a plastic texture and will ensure it is waterproof and air impermeable.
