Lift skirt attachment

The tailored skirt was first attached to the bottom hull. EVA foam was glued to the area of attachment, the skirt was positioned in place and a polyethylene strip was placed on top. Screws were used to fasten them down together to the nylon strips under the fibreglass.

The top body was then placed on the hull and was bonded with sikaflex and expanding PU foam to fill the large gaps. EVA foam was then glued along the seam, the skirt placed over that and fastened down under a polyethylene strip with screws. This was also done for the cockpit side. About 800 screws were used.
